Leighton Meester is Not the Girl Next Door
Leighton Meester, one of the Gossip Girls, attended the Diamond Information Center & InStyle Luncheon which usually kicks off Award Show Season with a crazy diamond event. I’ve also included some pictures of her and my favorite hottie Minka Kelly. This Gossip Girl definitely doesn’t look like the girl next door, otherwise I’d be over my neighbors house 24/7.
LEIGHTON Meester finds it amusing that people are surprised to discover she is not a bitch.
After more than 10 years working as an actor, the 21-year-old has found fame playing Blair Waldorf, an insecure society girl in the new hit show Gossip Girl.
The show, created by the team behind The O.C., Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, is based on the popular book series of the same name.
“She’s not the girl next door and she’s not the run-of-the-mill bitch either,” Meester says. “She’s a good girl really. It’s really fun to play because she says and does things that most people don’t have the courage to do in real life.
“It’s pretty funny how many people say they are surprised that I am not a total bitch.”
I don’t care if she was a bitch, she’s can act however she wants as long as she ends up in my bed at night. I think I’m going to have to TiVo Gossip Girls now, even though I’ll deny it if asked in court. This might finally be a nice replacement for the O.C. which I miss because I need my weekly Rachel Bilson fix.
